Christmas ACEO's

Since my house is currently in complete disarray while we have our kitchen remodeled ( I won't even try to get into that story!) I don't really have a good workspace for sewing or sculpting. Instead I've been working on ACEO's. They give me the opportunity to do the tiny little detail I love and when I can't sit for long because if my back, they are easy to put away until next time. I did a couple of Christmas ones, Christmas my way that is.

They are both what I imagine would deck the halls inside the witches gingerbread house from Hansel and Gretel. I posted them on Etsy last night. I have a few prints of other cards coming up, but these are the originals. Click on the picture to be taken to the listing. There are more detailed pictures there. Don't forget to enter my Mermaid Giveaway in the previous entry.

Littlest Mermaid Giveaway

In honor of this month of thankfulness I wanted to try my first giveaway. I'm so thankful to be healing and being able to work on the things that make me happy. I'm also thankful for my wonderful partner who took complete care of me when I couldn't even roll myself over in bed. I'm also blessed to have the love an support of my awesome mother. I feel incredibly grateful to have friends and supporters here on line who encourage and support my work, even when I'm being whiny and having no confidence in myself.

Mermaids!

At my last visit to my physical therapist I was given the green light to spend 20 to 30 minutes a day working on Art, sculpting, painting, etc. Twenty minutes is not a whole lot of time, but I knew I wanted to finish these ladies up first. I'd sculpted and inked these mermaids right before the pain kicked in from my back. The poor things just sat on my table the last few months waiting for me to heal. It took me a while, but I got them all painted, sealed and added their hardware. I originally intended for them to be pendants, but the more I look at them the more I realize they would also make great little ornaments. In fact I think I need to make one to hang from the rear view mirror in my car. I got them all listed in the last couple of days and wanted to show them to you. Click the images to be taken to the listings on Etsy. I wanted to price these at a lower point for the holidays so they could make an affordable gift. If you ever had a special request mermaid feel free to let me know.

Please keep an eye out here for a give away of my littlest mermaid pictured below. I wanted to do something to show how thankful I am that I have people that appreciate my art work and that when all is said and done I still have this wonderful outlet for expression...
